Roaster Basics Normal Class
This course is for those who want to become a coffee roaster and want to learn the basics of roasting coffee.
During the course students will learn:
• History and Overview of Coffee Roasting
• Roasting Technology & Terminology
• Phases of Roasting
• Purposes of Roasting
• Raw Material Quality
• Safety Protocol
• Roasting Activities
• Challenges of Roasting
What is included in the tuition fee:
• 1 lunch
• All material used in the class
• Study Book/Quizzes
At the end of the course, there is a short examination. Upon completing this 1-day course students will be presented with a certificate from The Coffeenery.
*Students often utilize our “Roasting Basics” in preparation for enrolling in our SCA Roasting Course
