This course includes various activities to test the cuppers’ skills in evaluating a coffee in a traditional cupping format, olfactory senses, green and roasted coffee grading, acid identification, basic cupping skills evaluations, triangulations, sensory skills tests, and roasted coffee tests.
Students will receive comprehensive knowledge in:
- Introduction to CQI and the Q Coffee System
- General Coffee Knowledge
- Green Grading and Roasted Grading
- Sample Roast ID
- Organic Acids
- Le Nez du Café
- Sensory Skills
- SCA Arabica Cupping Form and Calibration
- Cupping and Triangulation Sessions: Washed Mild’s, African, Natural and Asia
